A team of nursing students (Candace Dziedzic, Brook Finger & Sarah Wegner) attending Barbara Gunn’s Business Writing Class at B&S college reached out to Pets. They were doing research for a “Service Learning” paper. Their assignment was to identify a not-for-profit organization within the community and write a paper about how that organization could benefit through a “service learning” partnership with Bryant & Stratton College. Through this experience the students learned much about the field of Animal Assisted Interactions and identified many ways in which a partnership with a local college like Bryant and Stratton could be mutually beneficial to all. Although simply a pen and paper assignment both organization fully recognize the wonderful opportunities just such a partnership could offer.
