We have been invited to an exciting new Waggin’ Tails opportunity at Friends of L’Arche in Wauwatosa on Sunday April 27 at: 3:30pm!
A little overview on this group:
We are a group of approximately 20 individuals with and without intellectual disabilities. We gather once a month on a Sunday afternoon in Wauwatosa. The name of our group is “Friends of L’Arche Milwaukee”. We are part of an international organization where the gifts of individuals with I/DD are made known, where community is created, and where everyone is welcome. Our time together includes a simple liturgy (the organization has a spiritual component but is not tied to a particular denomination), a time for sharing, and an activity. The purpose of the activity is for us to have fun, to deepen our relationships within our community, and experience joy! https://www.larcheusa.org
Location: St. Matthews Lutheran Church 1615 Wauwatosa Ave., Wauwatosa, WI. We will meet in the room called “Fellowship Hall”. It is on the same level as the entry doors – no steps.
Parking is behind the building as is the entry door (west side of building). The entry door will have a sign posted for “Friends of L’Arche MKE”.
Signs inside the building will direct you to Fellowship Hall.
Looking for 2-3 handler/pet teams.
